Authentic traditional Japanese decor, serene zen garden views, private bathtub in rooms
I also wished for larger public areas, as the spaces felt cramped and didn’t accommodate larger groups well!!!

Should you try it? Yes or No
The traditional Japanese breakfast was incredibly delicious! ! I loved the spacious and beautiful tatami mat room, especially the lovely private garden. The staff were genuinely friendly and attentive, making my stay memorable.
While overall service was commendable, a few cleanliness issues in shared areas were concerning. Bushy hair was noticeable and a used duvet was found in the closet, which should have been addressed by housekeeping.

The private onsen was our favorite part! 🔥 It was such a serene experience. The breakfast was delightful too, served right to our room. Only downside was the absence of AC—it got a bit too warm at times.

Authentic Japanese Experience with Kind Staff
Our family enjoyed the warm hospitality and kaiseki meal served in our traditional-style room. The kids loved the tatami mats, but adults might find the beds a bit firm. Don't miss the serene public bath – we practically had it to ourselves! Plan ahead for dining reservations.

We had a fine time during our stay. The meal served showed the care put into Japanese cuisine. The staff were kind and accommodating throughout. When we arrived, they provided matcha tea and sweets, which made the experience feel personal. The public bath was another highlight, offering a nice way to unwind. Overall, it was a memorable experience for this European traveler in search of authentic Japanese culture.
The only slight issue was the need for prior reservations for dining.

Value for the garden view room felt misleading. The experience felt more like a modern hotel with ryokan elements rather than a true traditional ryokan, which may not sit well with some travelers seeking authenticity.
